Course Overview
In-Person Workshop (9 AM-6 PM*)
Hands-On Aesthetic Training + Didactic
This course helps you gain an in-depth understanding of CaHa and PLLA, FDA-approved injectables. We will teach you where to best utilize the product, what complications may arise, and complication management. You will also learn injection techniques, how to properly assess your patients as it relates to the aging process, and how to treat your patients for beautiful results. For completion of the Didactic (Activity #1) and the Hands-On training (Activity #2), you will receive 8 CME credits.
Course Agenda:
Morning 9 AM - 1 PM: You will first observe a live demonstration of various injection techniques used by Dr. Gideon Kwok, DO, and Lori Robertson MSN, FNP-C.
1 PM - 1:30 PM: BREAK
Afternoon (1:30 PM - 6 PM): During your scheduled training time, our instructors will guide you on how to:
- Perform patient assessments.
- Provide patient education regarding the treatment your model is about to receive.
- Choose the product most appropriate for the patient's needs.
- Safely and properly perform injections.
You are free to observe your peers during their training sessions. This will be an excellent opportunity to listen and learn.

Learning Objectives
As a result of these activities, the participant should be able to:
On-Demand Didactic
- Analyze anatomical landmarks, fat, complications, ligaments, and muscles related to CaHa and PLLA use.
- Describe the aging process and how to utilize volume replacement with CaHa and PLLA.
- Explain facial muscle assessment origins, insertions, and muscle action/function as it relates to CaHa and PLLA use.
- Assess and evaluate for adverse events/reactions as they pertain to CaHa and PLLA.
Hands-On Activity
- Demonstrate proper injection techniques for collagen stimulators: CaHa and PLLA.
- Verbalize and express understanding of the aging face and how to appropriately rejuvenate with CaHa and PLLA.
- Verbalize and express understanding of bone and soft tissue loss that are related to collagen stimulation with CaHa & PLLA and their outcomes.
Course Instructors
Dr. Gideon Kwok, DO
Dr. Kwok’s experience in the field now equates to over 15 years in aesthetics, contributing as a practitioner, speaker, and trainer. Apart from his local endeavors, he also supports aesthetic medicine internationally as a prominent speaker at engagements and trainings. Currently, he is a national speaker and trainer for Galderma, as well as, being an active member on their U.S. and global advisory boards. Furthermore, Dr. Kwok is also a faculty member and trainer for Mint threads, along with partaking as a trainer and speaker for Cutera and Radiesse.
Dr. Kwok’s mounting experience and contributions to the field have led to his recognition as one of the top injectors in America.
Lori Robertson, MSN, FNP-C
Lori has spent over 39 years in medicine, 24 of which she spent as an ER and ICU nurse. In 2004, she became a Nurse Practitioner working in Family Practice. It was after getting botox for the time when she began to consider working in aesthetics.
In 2012 she was voted the National Aesthetic Nurse of the Year, in 2015 voted Southern California’s Best Aesthetic Nurse, and has been selected as one of America's top 100 Best Aesthetic injectors 3 years in a row. Lori also has quite an interesting past as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff Rsv. for 13 years, has won 4 National Championships racing Corvettes, and worked as the Medical Consult/Actress for ABC-TV General Hospital for 19 years.
